Most people don’t know that barbershop harmony started in the fields, was sung around millions of parlor pianos, furnished the first recording artists and provided the underpinning for jazz, ragtime and the blues.

Since 2003, we have helped people understand that barbershop is not an era but a harmony style that can be applied to any form of music (see our Barbershop Break). And we invite singers to feel the gut reaction that accompanies latching on to a really ringing chord.
